Blue Ridge Sprouts brought together the community to celebrate Shenandoah’s agricultural heritage, “real food” and a vibrant lifestyle. More than just a food festival, it was a chance to experience the power of food to enrich lives and strengthen connections.

Guests enjoyed a fun Chick-fil-A scavenger hunt around West Oaks Farm Market, learning about health and nutrition in food preparation. The lemon squeeze station and fresh cider pressing by Mackintosh Fruit Farm were crowd favorites, along with nutrition coaching by Stacie Haaga.

Visitors explored the “Underground Classroom” to discover life beneath the soil and met Mike & Mose, heritage Randall Lineback oxen from Green Gables Farm. The hayride around the orchard gave a hands-on look at farming, while guests planted their own microgreens with A Farm Less Ordinary. Many took on the challenge of navigating the famous West Oaks Corn Maze.

The vintage selfie booth, hosted by Skyline Paintball and Clementine Vintage, was a popular spot, along with fairy garden making hosted by Massanutten Resort. Storytelling sessions by Handley Regional Library and guest authors captivated audiences. The Root to Table career discovery match game, presented by F&M Bank, engaged participants in learning about culinary and agriculture careers with fun prizes.
