Rachel Rae Dyer is a seasoned consultant, entrepreneur, and advocate for community growth. As the owner of Smart Not Fancy, LLC, she leverages over 20 years of expertise in business management, accounting, and advising to support small businesses and nonprofits in agriculture, tourism, and hospitality. A USAF veteran and first-generation college graduate, Rachel’s career is defined by collaboration and a deep commitment to her Appalachian roots.
Rachel has held numerous leadership, volunteer, and board roles, and is a proud alumna of selective programs such as Leadership West Virginia and the Appalachian Leadership Institute. Her approach combines practical solutions with a focus on community connection, helping others achieve success through shared efforts.
In addition to her consulting work, Rachel finds joy in building relationships, exploring the Appalachian Mountains, and fostering a deeper connection to the land.
